THE DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS EXPIRED!

Abstract submitters will be informed until February 29 about the results of the screening by the Scientific Committee.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS: As usual, paper sessions will be composed from papers received and accepted by the Scientific Committee. There will be no more than 5 presentations per session, and the standard length of presentation will be 15' time for presentation, and a few minutes time for discussion. There will be space for a maximum of 90 oral presentations.

GUIDED ELECTRONIC POSTER PRESENTATIONS: For the first time, the format of “electronic poster presentations” will be introduced at an HPH conference. Participants with an accepted poster presentationwill not need to bring a printed poster: A pre-delivered, electronic PDF file will be sufficient. There will be space for max. 140 electronic poster presentations. These will be grouped into thematic sessions of maximum 10 presentations, with a presentation time of 3 minutes each. The presence of the author (or a co-author) is therefore required.

Please note that accepted papers can be included in the final conference program only if presenters are registered for the conference.

MAIN CONFERENCE TOPICS:
•••• Health promotion by re-orienting core business or by expanding into new services - or by both? •••• Improving patient orientation: safety, clinical evidence, cultural appropriateness •••• Improving staff orientation: The challenge of an ageing workforce •••• Improving community and public health orientation: corporate social responsibility and sustainability

TOPICS OF HPH TASK FORCES:
•••• Health promoting psychiatric health care services
•••• Health promotion for children and adolescents in and by hospitals
•••• Migrant friendly and culturally competent hospitals
•••• HPH strategic and quality management
•••• Quality-based purchasing
•••• HPH core strategies and standards

ADDITIONAL TOPICS:
•••• Pain-free hospitals
•••• Smoke-free hospitals
•••• Mental health promotion in Health Promoting Hospitals
